The highlight of WH-1000XM5 is its noise-canceling feature. With two processors, Integrated Processor V1 and HD Noise Canceling Processor QN1, Sony proudly gives an “incomparable noise canceling” headphones. These processors are combined with a 30-mm driver unit that is said to enhance its noise-canceling quality and performance.
Sony also claims that WH-1000XM5 is best suited for your calls with its not 1, but 4 beamforming microphones that are designed to pick up your voice clearly even with background noises around you.
Its smart features are also something to be excited about. Quick Access is a new added feature which allows you to resume playback on Spotify in 2-3 taps without reaching for your phone. It also comes with an instant pause and instant play feature where music will automatically be paused if you take the headphones off and will automatically resume playing when you put it back again. Speak-to-Chat also automatically stops your music when you speak to talk to someone. Of course, it will automatically resume too once your chat is done.
Another smart feature of the Sony WH-1000XM5 is the Adaptive Sound Control. This adjusts sound settings depending on where you are and what you are doing to give you the best listening experience. You can choose to activate this feature or not.
The new Sony WH-1000XM5 comes in black and platinum silver colors. Its new “noiseless design” has a stepless slider on the headband that allows smoother adjustment, and a synthetic soft fit leather material that perfectly cancels noise. It is not foldable but it comes with a collapsible case that allows you to save space. The headphones are also made from recyclable materials, although we are unaware to what percentage.
Other useful features that you should know is its 30-hour battery life. It is also fast charging. Can you believe that with plugging in for just 3 minutes, you can get 3 hours of playback time? You can also connect 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time and easily switch from these devices with a touch of a button.
We heard so much about the Sony WH-1000XM5 and we are really excited to what it has to offer. However, one thing to consider is its price. Compared to other Sony headphones, this one is more expensive. Sony WH-1000XM5 costs $399. The price increase from their previous headphones is $50. So if you’re on a tight budget, this is something to consider. Still, Sony WH-1000XM5 has so promising features for its customers.
